Project Management

We offer professional, efficient and cost-effective project management services for all scales and complexity of infrastructural developments. For us at Armstrong, a successful project not only works within its pre-established performance indicators of scope, time, cost and quality; but should remain functional and efficient during its uptake and occupation. Our excellent team delivers full lifecycle consultancy from inception to completion, employing an integrated approach that covers scope, key performance indicators, communications, risk, procurement, and stakeholder management. Our project managers are fully competent and hold certifications in PMP, CMP, PRINCE2, and PPM.

Structural Engineering

We undertake the structural planning, design, and construction supervision of building structures, ranging from simple to complex forms. Our spectrum of excellence encompasses reinforced and pre-stressed concrete, steel, masonry, timber, and composite design. Our output covers two-dimensional drawings and details, parametric 3D modelling, and structural design reports. Our Engineers are competent in several cutting-edge and industry-leading software packages such as Midas SoilWorks, Autodesk Robot, Prota Structures, Tekla Tedds, and Midas Gen, among others.

Geo-technical and Civil Engineering

Armstrong has solid expertise and time-tested experience in a vast array of Civil and Geotechnical design solutions. Our interventions range from foundation analysis and design, soil improvement and consolidation techniques, subsurface investigations, piling, underpinning, slope stability analysis, design of retention and flood wall structures, tunnelling, to design of embankments for earthquake and seismic stability.

Bridge Engineering

Our team continues to work with partners and external professionals in the design, documentation and supervision of bridge infrastructure of short, medium and long spans. Most of our modelling and design analysis for bridge components like decking and carriageway, piers, piles and abutments, is currently done in Midas Civil software, allowing our Engineers full parametric visualization of all structural components, integrated with construction stage analysis. This facilitates the delivery of designs that are optimized, safe and fully resilient in the face of transient loads imposed during construction and after project handover.

Road Design & Highway Engineering

Armstrong undertakes feasibility studies, design documentation, and construction supervision of road works and all pavement engineering outputs like traffic forecasts and signalization studies, alignment surveys and pavement testing, parking studies, storm water drainage, flood protection channels, traffic safety management, transportation studies, in addition to road maintenance planning and management.

Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC)

As we grow, we are developing capacity to perform and deliver end-to-end project solutions under a single roof, via EPC Consultancy. EPC contracts are ideal for construction works involving large-scale and complex infrastructure projects. Under an EPC, the contractor is obliged to deliver a complete facility to a developer who needs only to turn a key to start operating the facility. Armstrong seeks to built multi-disciplinary partnerships in the construction industry that allow clients to access and enjoy one-stop engineering project deliverables. As Sub-Saharan Africa grows and regional governments earmark infrastructure development as a development priority, we are confident that our collaborative approach will position us strategically to provide EPC consultancy to more public and private clients actively seeking it.

Forensic Engineering

Over the years, Armstrong has developed the human resource and technical capacity to investigate and establish the causes of various engineering defects. By undertaking audits, analyses and structural integrity assessments, we are able to authoritatively and precisely determine the adequacy of an existing structure to carry anticipated loads or perform to the designers’ prescription and client’s expectation. Our registered Engineers and qualified to provide such professional opinions as may be required for litigation and court purposes.
